SBTL rules require an adult participant to pay for all targets even if they elect to shoot less than the full program or arrive late and want to participate in the remaining events. The .410 event is optional and open to all shooters.

Junior participants (shooters under the age of 18 years-old) have the option not to shoot the doubles event. Juniors who skip doubles are able to pay a reduced target fee.
